Report looks at proliferation of filament producers
A new study by Research and Markets takes a look at the 3D printing filament suppliers and their impact on the 3D printing industry. The researchers identify 225 suppliers of the two common thermoplastic filaments for FFF printers – PLA (Polylactic Acid) and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). The multitude of filament suppliers contributes to the fragmentation of the 3D printing industry, according to the report.
