API Merges with AMP
After talks started in summer, the deal between API und AMP was completed by the beginning of December 2016. AMP, the inventor of transfer metallizing, will merge into API’s brand, resulting in Netherlands by January 2017. Pim Honig, APM Managing Director, describes API as an excellent custodian of the business and looks forward to their cooperation. Together, they want to ensure continuity and an even greater range of products for all customers. With the second acquisition in 2016 API has around 620 employees worldwide now.

Premier Plants 5,000 Trees to Help New Woodland Growth
Recently, UK’s largest independent paper merchant, the Premier Paper Group has held one of its successful tree planting action days at the Woodland Trust, owned by Heartwood Forest in Hertfordshire. Around 160 volunteers, including customers, staff, students and pupils from three local schools in the Hertfordshire area planted 5,000 new sapling trees. Not only Marketing Director Dave Jones was proud of this fabulous achievement, The Woodland Trust recognized the efforts and contributions made by Premiere and its customers as well.

Pulse and Epple Confirm Ink Partnership
Ink manufacturer Epple Druckfarben joined a distribution partnership with Pulse. Pulse will serve as the exclusive UK distributor of Epple’s inks, which are manufactured under environmentally friendly processes and are used by print companies around the world. The two companies will work together closely to provide a high level of technical knowledge.

UL 969 Certification for Digital Series Ink on Avery Dennison Substrates
In order to obtain the certification given by the Underwriters Laboratories, the specially formulated Mark Andy inks were tested in a series of tests and passed the majority of them without a laminate present. As a broad range of substrates were tested and approved, the UL Certification brings a new advantage to Mark Andy Digital Series users, supplying the durable labels market.

Case Paper Completes Installation of New Sheeter
Paper merchant Case Paper completed the installation of a new Maxson MDH dual knife rotary sheeter. For the company it is the fifth sheeter they have purchased over the last seven years. Supported by skilled sheeting experts, the new sheeter increases capacity by 20 million pounds annually. The company based in Harrison is now one of the only distributors in the industry who can convert paper and boards and deliver the skids or rolls anywhere in the U.S., within 48 hours or less.
