As a result, a movement has emerged that tries to remove e-cigarettes from its associations with tobacco. Rex Vapor is taking a new approach and started a crowdfunding campaign to set-up a 3D printed e-cigarette startup.

Navy going big on 3D printing
Earlier this year, the navy had already entered an R&D agreement with 3D systems to integrate 3D printing into their operations. Now, the Office of Naval Research wants to meet with 200 industry representatives. Among other things, they will discuss the possibility to give ships at sea the capability of making parts as needed. The briefings will be unclassified, but industry reps taking part must be U.S. citizens, according to an announcement.

The coating is supposed to be completely harmless as it can be made entirely from food.
