Eco-conscious CEO creates alternative packaging
Paul Tasner spent almost his entire career making plastic packaging for companies like Clorox and Method Products. But when he saw his wife struggle to open a plastic package, he questioned the wisdom of packing all kinds of products in plastic cases. He was not only concerned about the inconvenience of hard-to-open clamshells but also the environmental impact of plastics. With a former architect, Tasner founded PulpWorks, a company that seeks to replace the plastic used to package consumer products, like cosmetics and electronics, with eco-friendly packaging made from recycled paper and agricultural waste.
