World’s first partly printed laptop funded on Indiegogo
The Pie-Top focuses on teaching people how to create real hardware by making a real laptop. The Raspberry-Pi laptop aims at teaching beginners to understand electronics, create printed circuit boards, and 3D print objects. The crowdfunding campaign ends on November 13 and so far, close to 130,000 USD have been raised, exceeding the 80,000 USD goal.

Researchers print portable X-ray imager
To demonstrate how far the technology behind printed electronics has advanced in recent years, researchrs at Palo Alto Research Center built a portable X-ray imager and small mechanical devices. The X-ray imager could be used by doctors in the field, serve as small security scanners or even help soldiers identify bombs in battle.
