New European finance program agreement for inkjet printers by EFI and DLL
In order to give customers new rental and leasing opportunities for their products, Electronics for Imaging (EFI) has just entered a European finance program with the DLL Group. DLL is a global financial options partner that supports the asset life cycle from leasing, vendor and commercial finance to remarketing. For both the cooperation means an investment in the future: EFI considers it to be essential for growth in their industry whilst DLL wants companies to grant access to new technology solutions and innovations in the digital printing industry. EFI aims to further expand this offer across the rest of the EMEA region.

Launch of Brother Mobile Solutions’ P-Touch® PT-P900 series
Brother Mobile Solutions has just announced the introduction of its new complete label printing solution, P-Touch® PT-P900. It is a high-performance desktop series that can be integrated into existing technology platforms and devices, including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Due to these characteristics it perfectly suits the requirements of manufacturing, industrial, datacom and cable labeling applications. Additionally, the series features a high quality and durability so that it can be used for various specific labeling applications such as labeling of components or cables.

Siegwerk focusses on packaging printing strategically
Siegwerk, one of the leading providers for printing inks for packaging applications, labels and catalogues announced to further concentrate on its main business in packaging printing. During the last months Siegwerk improved and advanced strategic investments to refine their product and service offers for packaging printers. By doing this the company wants to focus on specific investments and selling of web offset division to strengthen its new water- based ink business.

New Digital Flexo technology introduced by BOBST at drupa 2016
Packaging producer BOBST just introduced a new digital technology for folding carton and flexible packaging production. The M6 Digital Flexo, presented at drupe 2016 has few technical advantages to offer: Specific features allow customers to produce packaging at high speed with low costs at the same time. Additionally, it enables a flexible printing process with a high printing quality by using the existing BOBST sheet-fed converting equipment.

Best practice HP Indigo 20000: Digital printing’s breakthrough in flexible packaging
Two years ago Innovative Labeling Solution (ILS) bought their first HP Indigo 20000 – at the beginning of 2016 their second model was delivered. Thanks to this electrophotographic web press ILS developed from a label converter into flexible packaging provider. HP Indigo 20000 is the only color digital press that has been specifically designed for flexible packaging. ILS use it mostly for stand-up pouches and pillow-type bags, followed by shrink sleeves and pressure-sensitive labels. In retrospective they are highly satisfied with their decision because HP Indigo 20000 is able to cope with a huge workload and much larger structures than analog printers.
