Get your Printspiration – The Project Peacock Platform is Back in a New Shape!
In 2021, Project Peacock developed into a resource platform for print customers and print enthusiasts around the world and – like our virtual.drupa video library – it is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! You can use it to find new partners, innovative tools and improve your print marketing.
Spreading Their Tail
Project Peacock, founded by drupa ambassador and Printerverse podcaster Deborah Corn, started as a traveling digital print show-and-tell in 2018 presented in agencies and brand headquarters together with the project’s first partners Canon Solution America and Domtar Paper. Deborah Corn and her team saw a market niche ready to be filled and rose to the occasion, addressing the need for direct education about digital, inkjet and wide format printing! After their first causious steps, they decided to further communicate with more than 600 buyers, designers and marketers, to expand the project to reach even individual print customers. Branching deeper into this unexpected interest group, they started a series of educational videos, the “Project Peacock Peeks”, in which they presented various opportunities and great technologies in print to print customers and print service providers. Have a look at a collection of videos with their different partners like Canon, Domtar Paper, Xeikon, Agfa Graphics and Ricoh.
The project evolved further in 2019 when Deborah Corn and her associates took it on the road with the Project Peacock Print Fair, getting together with print enthusiasts all over North America with events in NYC, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto. Around 1.000 print customers, students and print service providers could connect and interact in person for the first time at that trade fair!
Printspiration From Wherever You Are
Because of the pandemic in 2020 the project was put on hold temporarily. But now, in 2021, the project opted for an online platform with live and online events, going with the challenges and preferences of our time. On this free platform, interested readers and viewers can learn even more about new print applications, new forms of paper and substrates, printing technologies, the latest equipment and many other things from the world of print! And like the virtual.drupa video library, you can enjoy all of its content until the end of the year. Simply register and receive an “all-access pass to every Project Peacock event as well as full access to the Peacock Platform 24/7”. The Project Peacock Platform has information on all the latest innovations that will help you improve your area of expertise – be it print production, services or print marketing.
Connect With Industry Professionals
Moreover, Project Peacock provides another great opportunity to create valuable connections between the main actors working in the field of printing, as our drupa Matchmaking has been doing successfully as well. The pandemic might have been a challenging time, but many important players are coming up with new inventions, ideas and platforms to breach the gaps in and between the global communities, building a strong foundation for further innovations and we at drupa love to see it! Print buyers, creatives, marketers, agencies and students from all over the world will be able to get in touch with the print sector in one click with Project Peacock: press and media, printers and people of the graphics, inks and paper industry in general are already active on the platform and ready to share their knowledge.
With this manifestation of the drupa spirit, we did not have to think twice about joining Project Peacock as an industry partner and are looking forward to how the platform is going to develop in the future.
