PrintWeek has started its annual survey to find the biggest 500 printing businesses in the UK. The survey is conducted in cooperation with Britain’s leading accounting firm, Grant Thornton. Companies with annual sales of more than £1.5 million might qualify for inclusion in this year’s ranking.

Arjowiggins Creative Papers presented a new paper named PowerCoat that allows for customization and personalization in luxury packaging. The paper-based printed circuitry can be used to reveal instructions or ingredients in different languages, take customers to a dedicated website, personalize a product or facilitate sharing via social media.

NEC hosts new print show
A forward-thinking exhibition designed to provide the key tools for the print industry will take place for the first time from October 13-15 2015 at the NEC in Birmingham. Exhibitors off all sizes and from all parts of the supply chain are invited and the exhibitors will focus on answering the industry’s most important question: How am I going to remain profitable and grow my business?

FESPA announces fifth digital textile conference
Digital textile printing is rapidly progressing with many new developments and technological advances. To display the newest products and trends, FESPA is hosting the fifth digital textile conference on December 5, 2014 alongside FESPA Eurasia 2014 Istanbul, on December 4-7 at the WOW Hotel, located opposite the CNR Expo Istanbul.
