This Project Highlight awaits you at Print Digital Convention
On October 20 and 21 this year, Print & Digital Convention will be held by Fachverband Medienproduktion. The convention fair, which is organized in a hybrid format this year, informs and enlightens: what innovative technologies and solutions are available for the realization of marketing in print and digital? The program includes lectures in which speakers and exhibitors present their vision of the future in digital marketing.

What Are The Highlight Projects of This Year’s Convention
This year, there will also be special projects presented in a highlight project list. These projects represent best practices and creative applications, with exhibitors demonstrating their implementation. They include printing technology, software applications, refining highlights, and how cross-media as well as marketing measures for brands and products can be implemented as part of a campaign. The project implementations are embedded in real brand demonstrations and a performance showcase of all communication elements, some of which are produced live at the trade show.
The “Bear Run” by Haribo
One of these projects is the Haribo board game “Bear Run”, which was developed as part of a new packaging concept with print enhancement. The brand partner is Haribo, the project partner is the company hp.
Michael Kuhl is very enthusiastic about the project:
“For the second time, we had the opportunity to test new production and refining techniques at PRINT & DIGITAL CONVENTION using a “dummy” in HARIBO design. The highlight project created here is once again a beautiful eye-catcher and we can transfer the refining techniques used to future projects.”

Michael Kuhl
The Haribo brand has thus created a high-quality and durable advertising medium for the permanent presence of the brand, which has a high emotional and interactive character. Digital print refining technology was used to make the product visually and haptically appealing. Production formats that are industrially feasible were used. The printing was done with the HP Indigo 12000 printer. The refining is matte foil laminated with partial foil refining in gold & partial UV varnish glossy with Scodix. The game was processed as follows: the game board was drawn on cardboard and mirrored on the back. The game pieces were die-cut with laser punches. The lid and base of the game box were laminated to cardboard and erected. The insert was die cut, folded and assembled inside the box.
Other six projects presented as highlights at the convention include “Natural Cosmetics and Sustainable Print Finishing,” a GIN project, “Print Moves – the Power of Cards,” “POS Marketing in Practice, Staging Organic Store “Naturkost Oase” with All Associated POS Advertising Media and Digital Signage,” and “12/12 a Collaborative Print/Art Project.”
