Touch the Future and Stay Connected: drupa 2020

Looking back at a great year, we definitely do not forget to look forward as well. After all, drupa 2016’s motto was “touch the future”! At K 2016, another trade show within the field of competence “Machinery, Plant and Equipment” at Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, we took the opportunity to meet some exhibitors from drupa 2016. While displaying innovations for the plastics and rubber industry, they reviewed drupa 2016 and answered a few questions. We asked them, which future trends they see regarding the next drupa, how they prepare for drupa 2020 and what they are looking forward to the most when thinking of it.

Marjan van Zalen, Event and Tradeshow Co-ordinator at Mimaki

Marjan van Zalen from Mimaki experienced drupa 2016 as a meeting point for industry experts from all over the world. At their crowded booth they presented new machines based on robotics technologies. For the years to come Mimaki will further develop their machines for the textile industry. Additionally, Marjan van Zalen thinks that the 3D printing industry has great potential. Nevertheless, she could not give an outlook yet, in which direction they will head for drupa 2020, since they are still developing their strategy. However, the preparations are already in full swing: First of all, Mimaki will deal with subscriptions and space location.
